So here's the gist, there is a new SNSD promotional video for their song "Bad Girl". The song isn't new and was released on SNSD's first Japanese album. Personally, I'm not a fan of the song. I mean I don't hate it, but neither do I feel strongly for or against it. Then again this is a sentiment I've noticed that I started to have ever since the girls went to Japan to promote. I'm not sure why that is exactly but somehow their efforts in Japan has made them drop off my radar for the moment.
The video itself is what it is. You got the girls in biker clothes and motorcycles. Then they proceed to sing and dance for the rest of the time. That's pretty much it. Nothing more, nothing less. Which makes for a pretty boring video in comparison to their other efforts. This is due to in my opinion their presence and dance not being particularly that interesting or eye catching. Basically I feel like their entire performance was phoned in. Though honestly, to be fair I don't think they were really trying in this one. I think it was released only for the sake of having a music video for this song.
Now the more perplexing thing is the overall sense that I get from this video is I don't care. Which is weird to me, because usually just being able to see Taeyeon or Jessica in a video is worth the price of admission. Though here, they don't even elicit any kind of response from me. Which has me completely puzzled and unable to comprehend why this is. It's almost like they're invisible to me . . . ok maybe not so much Jessica, because I do recall seeing her and thinking "meh". Though Taeyeon, never really stood out to me at any point in this video. Speaking of invisible, where is Sooyoung in this video? I don't ever recall seeing her in this video. I'm really starting to get the weird feeling that if the girl's don't come back to Korea any sooner that they will drop off my KPop radar completely. I usually spot her no problem out of the nine. Though in this video, I don't even remember ever seeing her.

You're right, this video is kind of blah compared to the others and I'm not even a fan of SNSD. My interest lies in Sooyoung and her alone. So the fact that she only gets a few seconds of screen time is disappointing. I think who was most invisible was Hyoyeon and I know that's been a problem many times. It's like she's not there and when I do see her, it feels like an afterthought. "Oh yeah by the way, here she is. We got all members covered now, right?"
