Jack In The Box Jumbo Breakfast Platter

So after seeing a commercial for it last night, I decided to take the opportunity today to try out Jack In The Box's New Jumbo Breakfast Platter. For the most part, it's pretty standard fair for fast food breakfast plates. You got pancakes, eggs, meat, and hash browns. Unlike other breakfast platters though, you do not get a biscuit or english muffin for your troubles. Though I guess it makes sense for the price. My only major gripe about the platter is that instead of giving regular sized pancakes, they give you mini pancakes. I mean they taste alright, but their small size make pouring syrup on them a bit of mess. This is due to the syrup not having much area to run down. Either way, it would have probably have been more effective to have offered pancakes in a regular size. Also, am I the only think that the eggs alone take up a good portion of this platter? Eh, for $2.99 plus tax, I can't really complain that much thought. All in all, I think this platter is passable to someone who wants a good old American style breakfast for dirt cheap at any time of the day. Though if you want a quality breakfast, go to IHOPs, Dennys, Nations or some other restaurant or diner like them.

Free Denny's Grand Slam

So earlier today, Denny's was having it's free Grand Slam promotion today from 6:00AM-2:00PM. Considering I am man who loves pancakes, I just had to be there. So here are some photos I took during this excursion with my still somewhat malfunctioning camera.



This is what the line looked like when I arrived on the scene.

Here are some signs in front of the Denny's promoting things like a Grand Slam sandwich and free Grand Slams on your birthday. What there's a sign about salad you say? What's that? Never heard of it.



So what I take from the placemat, Denny's starting tomorrow will offer endless pancake and fries with it's entrees that come with them. This means if you order like a burger and fries, you can get unlimited refills on fries. Or if you order an entree that comes with pancakes, you can get refills on pancakes. A neat idea, even though I never eat at Denny's outside of free Grand Slam day.



So here is the main attraction in all it's sheer unbridled glory.



Although the free Grand Slam was awesome, really $2.51 for a soda? I guess they have to make their money back somehow.

So It's Tuesday . . .

So for the most part today was pretty boring, I went and did the usual forum and social network reading I usually do everyday. Then I took a shower and ran some errands like buying some multivitamins from Longs Drug in Newark(soon to be CVS) for me and my mom. Then I went to the Popeyes across the street and got my mom and I some lunch, since it's Tuesday Special day there.

So after I got back home and ate lunch, I sat down and was about to listen to music that is not Perfume finally(yeah I know it's been like 11 days straight of listening to them O_o) and right some music reviews for this blog. But that's when my mom decided that this was the moment in time that she wanted to shop for Latin ballroom dresses online. So after about 2 hours or so(with some bickering between the two of us here and there) she finally picks one she wants to buy and we order it. So then I sat down and started listening to the first album I wanted to review, but within 30 mins of that my dad called.

My dad called me up because he needed to take some photos of my watch. He has the same exact watch, but when his house got robbed about a month ago they took it. So he needed a photo of the watch to send to his insurance company. So while we took some photos of the watch, we also just decided to go have diner at IHOP. Here are some cell phone pics of what I had . . .







After that me and my dad went to Jollibee to get my mom some food, since she doesn't like pancakes. While on the way to grab her some halo halo and palabok from Jollibee, I noticed the parking lot was full of tuner cars and seems like they're having a meet in the Jollibee meet. Granted this isn't like the kinda meets my friends and I used to have, my dad thought this is what we did. Which I had to correct him on the differences. I mean my friends and I are pretty nerdy looking and don't do anything stupid, while these guys look like gangbanger/Fast and Furious extras rejects doing stupid peel outs and speeding and sitting in back of pick up trucks smoking. So we get to the drive-thru and order the food and my dad dropped me back off at home. So I gave my mom the food, talked a little bit and then I sat down and uploaded the pics and started writing this blog post you are now reading. That's pretty much it.

PS. I probably will get that music review I was working on earlier posted at some point tomorrow . . . but will continue working on it right after I publish this post.
