Hey Lucky Ones,
You know, the other day, I was looking around youtube the other day and came upon something that just seemed a bit out of the ordinary. But before you can see why this was weird to me you'd have to understand the parts of the equation.
This is American rock band "A Change Of Pace":
This is their song "A Song The World Can Sing Out Loud":
Now if you understand the first part of this equation let us introduce you to the second part of this equation . . .
This is Hoshii Nanase (Don't ask me why she's rapping I don't get it either):
Here is another example of her:
Yet another example of her:
Now after looking at these two things, you ask "what the hell does this have to do with each other?" If you take it at face value . . . absolutely nothing. But combine the two and things start to add up. See this brings us to our next point of the equation, the sum of both values. For you see Hoshii Nanase, has been turned into something called a Seventh Tarz Armstrong. What The heck is a Seventh Tarz Armstrong you ask? Well I shall try to explain it to you.
Seventh Tarz Armstrong is some kind of alter ego of Hoshii Nanase's. Supposedly Seventh Tarz Armstrong is a girl who went to college at CSU Bakersfield. She is also some kind of amalgamation of the American Youth scenes of punk, emo, scene, skater, alternative, etc. Although she has bands in her music she is the primary focus as she is the only consistent member. So with this I show you Seventh Tarz Armstrong.
Seventh Tarz Armstrong performing a Japanese version of the A Change Of Pace Song:
Here's A clip from a movie about the Seventh Tarz:
Here's Another clip from that movie:
Here's a music video of hers(that apparently a guy from Sugarcult helped write instrumentals for):
So in sort what was the point of this? I dunno . . . I just thought it was weird that something from our "emo" punk scene made it's way over there(I mean to the point that they adopted it into their style). It also marks the first time I've seen a person who's not even from here wear Van's and skinny jeans O_o . . . I dunno . . . I guess this shows that we're not really that different and that I have too much free time to notice this stuff.
